Carol Rios is a self taught artist who began painting in 1993. Carol grew up in South Florida and received much of her inspiration from the tropical beauty there. Now after moving to the Appalachians in late November of 2005, Carol is inspired also by the forests and beauty of Western NC.
Carol paints in acrylic mostly but does dabble in oils.
Carol uses her love of photography of which she was a portrait photographer and real estate photographer for ten years, for visual focus and subject.
